To qualify for ATC accreditation, applicants must meet the following core requirements:

1. Agile Coaching Experience

  • Minimum of two years of experience coaching Agile teams.

  • Must have coached at least five different teams in various contexts.

  • Demonstrated ability to improve team performance and agility through coaching.

2. Agile & Lean Expertise

  • Hold at least one advanced Agile certifications, such as SM-CSP, PSM III, or equivalent.

  • Strong understanding and application of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, LESS, SAFe, etc.).

  • Ability to adapt Agile practices based on team maturity and organizational context.

3. Professional Coaching Competency

  • Completed formal coaching education, such as:

    • ICF PCC (Professional Certified Coach)

    • EMCC certification

    • 100+ hours of professional coaching training

  • Ability to apply structured coaching models (e.g., GROW, OSKAR) effectively at team level.

  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating team self-discovery, reflection, and performance growth.

4. Commitment to ACA’s Mission

  • Alignment with ACA’s mission, values, and ethical principles.

  • A demonstrated commitment to mentoring and community engagement.

  • Agreement to contribute at least one initiative (e.g., sharing insights, mentoring, or publishing Agile content).

5. Ethical & Professional Standards

  • Sign the ACA Code of Ethics upon accreditation.

  • No history of ethical violations or misconduct.

  • Ability to describe ethical decision-making approaches within Agile coaching.

  • Experience working across multiple teams, departments, and leadership levels.

2. Agile & Organizational Transformation Expertise

  • Must hold at least one advanced Agile certification, such as CSM-CSP, PSM III, CAL 2 or equivalent.

  • Expertise in enterprise agility frameworks, Leadership, lean portfolio management, and scaling Agile frameworks.

  • Ability to coach leaders, executives, and organizations toward sustainable Agile transformation.

3. Professional Coaching Competency

  • Completion of formal coaching education, such as:

    • ICF PCC (Professional Certified Coach)

    • EMCC certification

    • 100+ hours of professional coaching training

  • Demonstrated ability to apply coaching frameworks at the enterprise level.

  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating large-scale Agile adoption and cultural change.
